First Script Night - ADAPTATION May 2, 2010

First Script Night – ADAPTATION

Our very first Script Night was a huge success!  Some read the script (early draft), while others watched the film, and some did both.  For the future, I would highly recommend doing both.  We’ll try to get drafts to read whenever possible, so the rewrite process shines through.   Read on and see what all thought of the unique Charlie Kaufmann.  @jeannevb

EURO chat:

6:59 pm                DreamsGrafter:                EURO #SCRIPTCHAT  O'CLOCK - Shall we talk about Adaptation? Who's read it?
7:00 pm             zacsanford:             Sorry I'm gonna miss the UK #scriptchat, but what I thought was allergies now seems to be the flu. Be back for the US chat at 5 p.m. PST.
7:00 pm             DreamsGrafter:             RT @Jonathan_Peace: RT @WriteForReel: JK Rowling: The fringe benefits of failure #screenwriting #scriptchat http://tinyurl.com/2fkmc3m Pls RT Very interesting
7:00 pm             filmutopia:             #scriptchat The final act is by far the best parody of the shallowness of the traditional character arc when applied as formula
7:01 pm             jeannevb:             EURO is on right now, talking ADAPTATION #scriptchat
7:02 pm             DreamsGrafter:             #Scriptchat - Kaufman jumping between time and place was something I found interesting. How do you not lose the reader?
7:02 pm             matevzluzar:             @filmutopia Couldn't agree more. #scriptchat
7:02 pm             Jonathan_Peace:             @DreamsGrafter read it several times through #scriptchat One of my favourite films anyway, but the first time I read the script was for this
7:02 pm             KageyNYC:             Act III is a riot - love how once Donald gets involved in script it becomes a Donald-written movie. #scriptchat #adaptation
7:02 pm             jeannevb:             @DreamsGrafter the film did it less than the script (jumping in time & place) #scriptchat
7:02 pm             filmutopia:             #scriptchat Best thing in the movie is his fictional Brother's application of McKee to create the awful thriller , The Deconstructed Man LOL
7:03 pm             booksbelow:             Thought it interesting he couldn't write script about flowers, only could write script about writing script about flowers :-) #scriptchat
7:03 pm             Bang2write:             @DreamsGrafter Non linearity needs a THROUGHLINE if you're not to lose the reader - ie. the game itself in SLUMDOG MILLIONAIRE #scriptchat
7:03 pm             filmutopia:             #scriptchat OK folks - got to fly - have fun
7:03 pm             matevzluzar:             Adaptation is one of most original adaptations ever made. #scriptchat
7:03 pm             Jonathan_Peace:             I wish I'd read this sooner. The script I wrote for #scriptfrenzy jumps around much the same as #adaptation. #scriptchat
7:03 pm             lizziside:             checking in #scriptchat
7:03 pm             DreamsGrafter:             @KageyNYC Re Act 3, it's great how we finally feel the emotional connection between the brothers. #scriptchat
7:04 pm             DreamsGrafter:             @jeannevb That's interesting, re film compared to script. Why do you think they cut out the time jumps? #scriptchat
7:05 pm             julianfriedmann:             RT @matevzluzar: Adaptation is one of most original adaptations ever made. #scriptchat
7:05 pm             DreamsGrafter:             @Jonathan_Peace How did you tackle the time jumps? What did you learn from Kaufman's script re clarity? #scriptchat
7:05 pm             Bang2write:             @julianfriedmann that's a good point -- scripts that are nuts are not always "accepted" unless by an established writer #scriptchat
7:06 pm             jeannevb:             1st time I saw it, I hadnt written script. I've also been to McKee's seminar since then too! Wild watching/reading again #scriptchat
7:06 pm             julianfriedmann:             Many script readers and producers would poss not rate Adaptation if sent to them typed as if by Joe Bloggs (sorry Joe). #scriptchat
7:06 pm             DreamsGrafter:             @Bang2write Agree. Plus you need to guide the reader through the changes between time & place. i.e. flag it up in the 1st place. #scriptchat
7:06 pm             julianfriedmann:             @DreamsGrafter Kaufman is exceptional: not sure how likely producers are to trust less credited writers. #scriptchat
7:07 pm             booksbelow:             I thought the device of the twin brothers to compare approaches was a little awkward #scriptchat
7:07 pm             thewritertype:             #scriptchat The best adaptations are reinventions, not rewrites: Kaufmann reinvented the idea of 'adaptation' itself.
7:07 pm             KageyNYC:             @DreamsGrafter But I felt it was Donald's connection, not Kaufman's - at that point it seemed Kaufman was no longer in charge ;) #scriptchat
7:07 pm             jeannevb:             I cld see glimpses of conception of his film Synecdoche, New York in it too! #scriptchat
7:08 pm             Jonathan_Peace:             @DreamsGrafter I learnt having the through line to bring the reader/viewer back on track is a must with a non-linear story #scriptchat
7:08 pm             julianfriedmann:             Interesting interview with Charlie Kaufman in TwelvePoint http://bit.ly/9pmIn4 #scriptchat
7:09 pm             jeannevb:             RT @thewritertype: best adaptations are reinventions, not rewrites: Kaufmann reinvented the idea of adaptation itself. #scriptchat
7:09 pm             lizziside:             RT I view 'em as translations, u reprod the gist not the literal @thewritertype: #scriptchat The best adaptations are reinventions
7:10 pm             DreamsGrafter:             @jeannevb Me too. Re Synecdoche. i.e. life isn't something you can plan. #scriptchat - He really loves the sprawling.
7:10 pm             DreamsGrafter:             RT @julianfriedmann: Interesting interview with Charlie Kaufman in TwelvePoint http://bit.ly/9pmIn4 #scriptchat
7:10 pm             DreamsGrafter:             RT @Jonathan_Peace: @DreamsGrafter I learnt having the through line to bring the reader/viewer back on track is a must with a non-linear story #scriptchat
7:11 pm             Sharliebel:             RT @jeannevb: EURO is on right now, talking ADAPTATION #scriptchat
7:11 pm             jeannevb:             @DreamsGrafter I was 1 of only few who liked Synecdoche at the festival. My therapist was only 1 who got why I liked it haha #scriptchat
7:11 pm             DreamsGrafter:             @Jonathan_Peace I was trying to figure out which was the throughline? Kaufman's or Orlean? #scriptchat
7:11 pm             jeannevb:             I loved reading the 2000 version, then watching 2002 film. Lots of diff'c #scriptchat
7:11 pm             Bang2write:             For anyone interested, I wrote about Kaufman on the blog recently: http://tinyurl.com/32cddnu #scriptchat
7:12 pm             DreamsGrafter:             @jeannevb Haha. I didn't get it I'm afraid. At first I thought I did - but the last 20 mins. lost me. #scriptchat
7:12 pm             Robert296hewitt:             I thought it was a great script. #scriptchat
7:13 pm             jeannevb:             @booksbelow the twin bro thing worked for me on a few levels. Comparison, showed CK frustrations, add humor, etc. #scriptchat
7:14 pm             Jonathan_Peace:             @DreamsGrafter I figured there were actually three if you allow Laroche as well. All of them could have the story pinned to them #scriptchat
7:14 pm             jeannevb:             @DreamsGrafter my therapist was at festival. After Synecdoche, she came up to me & said "bet u liked that" HAHA #scriptchat
7:14 pm             Robert296hewitt:             Was it a good movie though @jeannevb? #scriptchat
7:14 pm             DreamsGrafter:             So what about when Kaufman uses McKee to discuss the merits of concise speech by giving him a long speech? #scriptchat
7:14 pm             maderlane:             It was great to see a film adaptation that was original, but overall I didn't like the movie #scriptchat
7:14 pm             jeannevb:             Loved the layers of the meaning of "adaptation"...not just fr book to film, but species adapting in life. #scriptchat
7:15 pm             jeannevb:             ;) RT @DreamsGrafter: So what about when Kaufman uses McKee to discuss the merits of concise speech by giving him a long speech? #scriptchat
7:15 pm             Jonathan_Peace:             But the heart was about change as an entity. Everyone changed, everyone adapted. That was the true throughline, at least for me. #scriptchat
7:15 pm             Robert296hewitt:             I thought the twin brother really showed kind of the naivety that some scriptwriters have i.e. me. lol. @jeannevb #scriptchat
7:15 pm             jeannevb:             I've been to McKee's seminar. SPOT ON! Loved it. He's a prick. ha #scriptchat
7:15 pm             DreamsGrafter:             Why? What grabbed you? RT @Robert296hewitt: I thought it was a great script. #scriptchat
7:15 pm             Bang2write:             I think Adaptation was a writer's movie. Can't think of a single non-writer I know who liked it. #scriptchat
7:15 pm             maderlane:             It was much more enjoyable reading the script rather than watching the film #scriptchat
7:16 pm             Jonathan_Peace:             RT @jeannevb: I've been to McKee's seminar. SPOT ON! Loved it. He's a prick. ha #scriptchat
7:16 pm             matevzluzar:             CK masterfully surpassed writers block. To put his present into adaptation-this idea in that kind of situation-you are genius #scriptchat
7:16 pm             jeannevb:             @Robert296hewitt haha. Totally. Great film & twin bro's line about "getting rich quick" as screenwriter HA #scriptchat
7:16 pm             KageyNYC:             How did Donald Kaufman get official credit for film & an Oscar nom, aren't there rules for that stuff? Everyone was in on joke?! #scriptchat
7:17 pm             maderlane:             I watched the film with non-writers and they didn't get it #scriptchat
7:17 pm             jeannevb:             brb.... family calls... #scriptchat
7:17 pm             DreamsGrafter:             @julianfriedmann Agree. By the sheer fact the script is 130 pages ... before looking at the structure/storytelling. #scriptchat
7:17 pm             lizziside:             it was good i saw Adaptation after Being John Malkovich #scriptchat
7:17 pm             fnafilms:             RT @Bang2write I think Adaptation was a writer's movie. Can't think of a single non-writer I know who liked it. #scriptchat ===>> I did
7:17 pm             Bang2write:             totally agree with @Robert296hewitt - Donald was ALL newbie screenwriters!!! I rmbr thinking mirrors were cool... LOL #scriptchat
7:17 pm             KageyNYC:             @Jonathan_Peace Haha, exactly, they were "The 3" #scriptchat @DreamsGrafter
7:18 pm             davidpbaker:             Screenwriters, check out #scriptchat happening NOW!
7:18 pm             DreamsGrafter:             @jeannevb Re differences between script and screen, was it clear why certain decisions re developments were made? #scriptchat
7:20 pm             jeannevb:             @DreamsGrafter some yes, some no. They took out her reading his script w the gun pointed at him. Wish they hadnt #scriptchat
7:20 pm             lizziside:             I hope to catch him next in London RT @Jonathan_Peace: RT @jeannevb: I've been to McKee's seminar. SPOT ON! Loved it... #scriptchat
7:20 pm             DreamsGrafter:             The b.f. isn't a writer and he loved it. #scriptchat
7:20 pm             Jonathan_Peace:             The waitress's discomfort with Kaufman by having her send another one over with the pie: I'd have done 3 pages of dialogue #scriptchat
7:20 pm             thewritertype:             #scriptchat I'd like McKee to do a seminar on Adaptation then Kaufman to adapt that into a film which McKee then teaches.
7:21 pm             Bang2write:             @fnafilms yeah, but you're a movie PRODUCER, what I shld've said was "non movie-making-type person" LOL #scriptchat
7:21 pm             AudryT:             Is there both a #writechat and a #scriptchat going on?
7:21 pm             DreamsGrafter:             B.f. says it's clear in the film that the screenplay that is being written is the film that you're watching. #scriptchat
7:22 pm             Robert296hewitt:             I enjoyed the idea of it being about the script writer writing, It was interesting and different and I want to see the film. #scriptchat
7:22 pm             Jonathan_Peace:             I learnt alot about keeping it simple - dialogue, action, description. #scriptchat
7:23 pm             DreamsGrafter:             :D RT @thewritertype #scriptchat I'd like McKee 2 do a seminar on Adaptation then Kaufman 2 adapt that in2 a film which McKee then teaches.
7:23 pm             DreamsGrafter:             RT @Jonathan_Peace: I learnt alot about keeping it simple - dialogue, action, description. #scriptchat
7:23 pm             Bang2write:             @DreamsGrafter could that be cos he goes out w/ U tho? Hub not a writer but gets *more* about movies via osmosis now #scriptchat
7:24 pm             Jonathan_Peace:             (another beer)... #scriptchat
7:24 pm             Robert296hewitt:             @dreamsgrafter I picked up on that too n thought it was a great idea. #scriptchat
7:24 pm             jeanneveillette:             Twitter is blocking me as @jeannevb... #grrrr #scriptchat
7:24 pm             jeanneveillette:             @DreamsGrafter some yes, some no. They took out her reading his script w the gun pointed at him. Wish they hadnt #scriptchat #scriptchat
7:24 pm             mariblaser:             Yup. So it seems. ;) RT @AudryT: Is there both a #writechat and a #scriptchat going on?
7:24 pm             DreamsGrafter:             The dialogue was sheer brilliance. I didn't mind what was going on just as long as I could hear the characters speak. #scriptchat
7:25 pm             Jonathan_Peace:             A question though: the script uses a lot of "We see..." "We move..." I always thought not to use this device? #scriptchat
7:25 pm             jeanneveillette:             I posted McKee's 10 Commandments on our blog haha www.scriptchat.com #scriptchat
7:25 pm             PennyAsh:             I'm here trying to catch up after my #storycraft flash. Liked Adaptation, made me see the scenes w/o a lot of detail #scriptchat
7:26 pm             DreamsGrafter:             @Bang2write He saw the film before he started going out with me. Now, he calls it 'dark knowledge'. #scriptchat
7:26 pm             jeanneveillette:             @mariblaser @AudryT we're only an hour long... EURO... USA chat is at 8pm EST. Same topic #scriptchat
7:26 pm             joshuadenney:             OMG I'm here while #scriptchat is going on! Just got back from watching Ip Man 2 & Iron Man 2. Didn't read either script prior, surprisingly
7:26 pm             Robert296hewitt:             I agree with @jonathan_peace how CK kept the language simple. It was great. #scriptchat
7:27 pm             Donna_Carrick:             Hi, Jeanne, hope to see you on #scriptchat when travelling, but ph giving probs. If we don't appear, you'll know why. @jeanneveillette
7:27 pm             jeanneveillette:             @Jonathan_Peace I guess when ur CK, u can do what you want. He also didnt CAPITALIZE char's names either #scriptchat
7:27 pm             jeanneveillette:             @joshuadenney how was it? #scriptchat
7:27 pm             DreamsGrafter:             @jeanneveillette That's a great scene! Shows Orlean with her guard down. A glimpse of her real self. #scriptchat
7:27 pm             jeanneveillette:             @Donna_Carrick are u always in the car on Sunday night? #scriptchat
7:27 pm             DreamsGrafter:             RT @jeanneveillette: I posted McKee's 10 Commandments on our blog haha www.scriptchat.com #scriptchat
7:28 pm             johnrackham:             RT @davidpbaker: Screenwriters, check out #scriptchat happening NOW!
7:28 pm             Bang2write:             I enjoyed Adaptation. But I thought it was a little indulgent, daft & too full of *in* jokes. Have preferred other writer movies #scriptchat
7:28 pm             jeanneveillette:             @DreamsGrafter Meryl was AMAZING! Even better than I remembered #scriptchat
7:28 pm             julianfriedmann:             Enjoyable #scriptchat but dinner calls
7:28 pm             Donna_Carrick:             Yes, ma'am, esp this time of yr. RT @jeanneveillette: #scriptchat
7:28 pm             joshuadenney:             Adaptation is one of the greats. Kaufman knows how to write! #scriptchat
7:28 pm             Robert296hewitt:             I thought you only needed to caps character names when you introduce them? @jeanneveillette #scriptchat
7:28 pm             DreamsGrafter:             @joshuadenney Hello! Welcome ... Have you seen or read Adaptation? #scriptchat
7:29 pm             jeanneveillette:             @Bang2write 1st time I saw it, I wasnt screenwriter. I still loved it. #scriptchat
7:29 pm             DreamsGrafter:             @julianfriedmann Bon apetit. #scriptchat
7:29 pm             jeanneveillette:             @Robert296hewitt yes, when u introduce. But he didnt do that. #scriptchat
7:29 pm             Jonathan_Peace:             I use the rule of 4: four lines of action; describe a character in 4 words or less. CK does this. I feel justified #scriptchat :)
7:30 pm             Bang2write:             One writer movie that springs to mind is THROW MOMMA FROM THE TRAIN. Not a conventional choice but Billy Crystal just fab in it #scriptchat
7:30 pm             KageyNYC:             @DreamsGrafter @jeanneveillette After how he's portrayed in the film & those 10 Commandments, I think I'll be avoiding McKee ;) #scriptchat
7:30 pm             Robert296hewitt:             I didn't see the movie but looked at the trailer. Was Nicolas Cage good in it? Haven't enjoyed him in many films. #scriptchat
7:30 pm             JLichtenberg:             RT @DreamsGrafter: @jeannevb Re differences between script and screen, was it clear why certain decisions re developments were made? #scriptchat
7:30 pm             JLichtenberg:             RT @DreamsGrafter: @julianfriedmann Agree. By the sheer fact the script is 130 pages ... before looking at the structure/storytelling. #scriptchat
7:31 pm             DreamsGrafter:             Re subplot emphasising overall theme, I struggled to find correlation betwn Kaufman's story & Orlean's story. Any suggestions? #scriptchat
7:31 pm             joshuadenney:             @jeanneveillette Iron Man 2 will go down as the greatest film Kaufman didn't write, of course #scriptchat
7:31 pm             thewritertype:             #scriptchat Kaufman is noble crusader for surrealism in movies: it was dying; even when he fails it's interesting.
7:31 pm             jeanneveillette:             @KageyNYC I asked McKee a question & he yelled at me for being stupid...while he signed my book #truth. #scriptchat
7:31 pm             jeanneveillette:             @joshuadenney haha can't wait ;) #scriptchat
7:32 pm             JLichtenberg:             RT @Jonathan_Peace: RT @WriteForReel: JK Rowling: The fringe benefits of failure #screenwriting #scriptchat http://tinyurl.com/2fkmc3m Pls RT Very interesting

7:32 pm             DreamsGrafter:             @jeanneveillette What did you ask him? Can you share? #scriptchat
7:32 pm             Bang2write:             Lots of ppl v rude about it but I thought it was amusing - at least Billy Crystal & his frustration over his writer's block! #scriptchat
7:32 pm             joshuadenney:             @DreamsGrafter I've watched it a few times, mist recently last week. Definitely a thinker's film. #scriptchat
7:33 pm             Robert296hewitt:             McKee doesnt sound like the best guy to model writing on. lol. @jeanneveillette #scriptchat
7:33 pm             Jonathan_Peace:             @Robert296hewitt Adaptation was the film that turned me on to Nicolas Cage. #scriptchat But not in that way. Erm,....
7:33 pm             fnafilms:             Not a writer movie - but a good writer novel is Stephen King's Bag Of Bones... #scriptchat
7:33 pm             lizziside:             RT so did I . [?] @Robert296hewitt: I thought you only needed to caps character names when you introduce them? @jeanneveillette #scriptchat
7:33 pm             DreamsGrafter:             Re structure and turning points re Kaufman - forget it. Did anyone identify the breaks? I was lost. A lesson in that somewhere? #scriptchat
7:34 pm             DreamsGrafter:             RT @Jonathan_Peace: I use the rule of 4: four lines of action; describe a character in 4 words or less. CK does this. I feel justified #scriptchat :)

7:34 pm             jeanneveillette:             @DreamsGrafter i didnt try to analyze it. Just read it & enjoyed. #scriptchat
7:35 pm             Robert296hewitt:             @Jonathan_peace err...cool. I guess. lol. I do want to see the film now but after reading the script worried it will disapoint. #scriptchat
7:35 pm             KageyNYC:             @DreamsGrafter Solid midpoint for sure, at mid he finally decided to go to NY and meet w/Orlean #scriptchat
7:35 pm             Jonathan_Peace:             @DreamsGrafter I think Kaufman fought against his own adaptation whereas Orlean embraced hers (getting involved with Laroche) #scriptchat
7:35 pm             PennyAsh:             @DreamsGrafter The jumping around bugged me a little, made everything kind of run together #scriptchat
7:36 pm             DreamsGrafter:             @jeanneveillette Good sign! Me too. A couple of times I found myself thinking act breaks ... then went w/ it. #scriptchat
7:36 pm             lizziside:             he was appropriate RT @Robert296hewitt: I didn't see the movie but looked at the trailer. Was Nicolas Cage good in it? . #scriptchat
7:36 pm             Jonathan_Peace:             RT @fnafilms: Not a writer movie - but a good writer novel is Stephen King's Bag Of Bones... #scriptchat One of my all time favourites
7:36 pm             Bang2write:             @Jonathan_Peace @DreamsGrafter 4 lines of action can still sometimes be too much, tho. Always worth remembering. #scriptchat
7:37 pm             DreamsGrafter:             @jeanneveillette So much better than being prescriptive, which I can be guilty of. #hateobviousturningpoints #scriptchat
7:37 pm             Robert296hewitt:             I enjoyed the way CK dnt wnt to turn it into somthing glamorised or false but tried to keep it real (even tho he made up a twin) #scriptchat
7:37 pm             DreamsGrafter:             RT @Bang2write: @Jonathan_Peace @DreamsGrafter 4 lines of action can still sometimes be too much, tho. Always worth remembering. #scriptchat
7:37 pm             joshuadenney:             @lizziside @Robert296hewitt @jeanneveillette Easier to break the script down for practical use later (if you cap em all) #scriptchat
7:39 pm             Robert296hewitt:             @jonathan_peace i was told something similar about actions. I was told keep it short and snappy because it will change. #scriptchat
7:39 pm             DreamsGrafter:             @PennyAsh Re jumping around - which story did you engage with the most? i.e. relief when you get back to their story. #scriptchat
7:40 pm             Jonathan_Peace:             Another thing I liked was everything was hinted at within the first 10 pages #scriptchat
7:40 pm             DreamsGrafter:             @KageyNYC You're good! Didn't notice that as the midpoint. #scriptchat
7:41 pm             Robert296hewitt:             @dreamsgrafter In the script I enjoyed the jumping around. Kept it punchy. Enjoyed the story most about CK tho. #scriptchat
7:42 pm             PennyAsh:             @DreamsGrafter I liked the Laroche parts the best. Could have lived without the primordeal history bits #scriptchat
7:42 pm             Bang2write:             @Jonathan_Peace 4 lines always a good start, but I work on basis: wanna use 10 words? Use 5. Want 5? Use 2. Want 2? Use none #scriptchat
7:42 pm             DreamsGrafter:             @Jonathan_Peace OMG, that's great. I was confused re how Orlean's story fitted in with the theme ... #scriptchat
7:43 pm             jeanneveillette:             @PennyAsh @DreamsGrafter I loved Laroche too but the history/Darwin stuff was to showcase adaptation of life/flowers/people. #scriptchat
7:43 pm             DreamsGrafter:             RT @Jonathan_Peace I think Kaufman fought against his own adaptation whereas Orlean embraced hers (gettin involved with Laroche) #scriptchat
7:43 pm             Jonathan_Peace:             @Bang2write The thing I'm learning the most is that the real work is done in the rewrite. Cutting the chaff. #scriptchat
7:44 pm             DreamsGrafter:             RT @jeanneveillette: @PennyAsh @DreamsGrafter I loved Laroche too but the history/Darwin stuff was to showcase adaptation of life/flowers/people. #scriptchat
7:44 pm             Robert296hewitt:             @lizziside he was appropriate? So someone could have played the role better then? lol. #scriptchat
7:45 pm             jeanneveillette:             the love interest was totally diff't person in film. Rewrites, rewrites, rewrites #scriptchat
7:45 pm             PennyAsh:             @jeanneveillette @DreamsGrafter I think it was they way it just popped up in places where it seemed odd. #scriptchat

7:47 pm             jeanneveillette:             @PennyAsh @DreamsGrafter def not my fave part but I got why he did it. Adapting more then book/Orlean char...but also flowers #scriptchat
7:47 pm             DreamsGrafter:             @PennyAsh Why Laroche? Re emotional connection. He was the only character that wasn't self-conscious(?) #scriptchat

7:47 pm             jeanneveillette:             @DreamsGrafter @PennyAsh I didnt get it when I watched film yrs ago, but it POPPED out to me as theme this time...lots of layers #scriptchat
7:48 pm             DreamsGrafter:             @Robert296hewitt Cool. And you followed it easily? (something I've learnt re my own writing - don't lose the reader) #scriptchat
7:48 pm             Jonathan_Peace:             @Bang2write Tell me about it. First spec - thought finished. Nope. Not by a long shot. Now way. #scriptchat LOL
7:49 pm             PennyAsh:             @jeanneveillette @DreamsGrafter Yeah, I got the Darwin thing right off. Might have to see the movie for it to work for me #scriptchat
